History of CC4C
Community Care for ChangeCC4C, a national nonprofit organization, has its roots in the shared vision of two dedicated individuals: Dr. Priscilla Benner, the founder of the MAMA Project, and Evelina Ndilu, the former Pastoral Coordinator at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. The journey began in 2018 when the two came together under the framework of Microjustice Kenya (MJK) to address the pressing needs of the community, particularly in the areas of nutrition, community development, and overall well-being.
The shared vision was simple yet powerful – to eradicate poverty and build a resilient and empowered community. However, as the scope of the work grew, it became apparent that the mission was beyond the limitations of the MJK framework. In response to this growing need for a broader impact, CC4C was established as an independent entity in November 2021.
Since its inception, CC4C has remained focused on upholding and restoring human dignity. The organization’s work is rooted in its core belief that every person deserves the opportunity to live a life of dignity, respect, and fulfillment. Through its various programs and initiatives, CC4C continues to promote the well-being and empowerment of individuals, particularly in underserved communities across Kenya
From its humble beginnings as a nutrition program, CC4C now addresses a wide range of challenges, from empowering youth and women economically, to providing educational support, and offering mental health services. The organization’s ongoing commitment to improving lives and fostering long-term community resilience drives its vision of a healthier, more prosperous future for all
