Worms
This is a High Impact Intervention by the Ministry of Health. One of the causes of malnutrition is worm infestation. We envision a worm free community by providing dewormers – Albendazole (Provided by Worm Warriors through MAMA Project) and support routine community dosing in collaboration with the respective Sub-county health management teams. Deworming is carried out at the household level, in schools, churches, mosques, and Partnered-link facilities.
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
Water is life! We promote the use of safe treated water at all times through provision of a two-bucket water filtration system; the safe drip and chlorination system with the aim of ensuring that the community has clean and safe water. We provide this at the household, ECDE centers and schools within the program area. We also train interested individuals to make these water buckets as a source of income for them or their groups. We further conduct continuous sensitization on food hygiene, proper disposal of human waste and general hygiene of our environment.
